Adding It All Up: My Work Experience Story

I recently did a week's work experience with Linked Accounting and it was an incredible opportunity. 

Before starting, I’ll admit I was slightly nervous  as I  imagined my days would consist of staring at spreadsheets or just watching others do their jobs. But from the moment I arrived, the Linked Accounting team  made me feel welcome and involved. Over the week, I was introduced to many aspects of accounting and bookkeeping, including the various software used day-to-day to ensure efficiency and manage finances. I have learnt to understand how accountants communicate with their  clients in order to problem-solve as well as widening my knowledge on invoices , bank reconciliations, and the importance of accuracy. 

Each day provided me with further knowledge about the insights into bookkeeping and accounting, and I am truly inspired and motivated to make accounting my career. I  enjoy working with numbers, being organised, and paying close attention to detail—so this path feels like a great fit. I’m incredibly grateful to the team at Linked Accounting for giving me such a warm welcome and for taking the time to teach me so much in just one week. This experience has given me valuable insight, boosted my confidence, and most importantly, confirmed that I’m heading in the right direction.
